Heather M. Affronti's Passing Marks the End of a Life of Community Service and Family Dedication
Heather Mary Affronti, a prominent figure in Rochester's political and social community, passed away on April 10, 2026, at the age of 81. Born in Rochester's 19th Ward, Heather was deeply involved in her community, chairing numerous political campaigns and working as a realtor for 40 years. She was known for her strong religious faith and dedication to her family, which included her husband of 60 years, Hon. Francis A. Affronti, their four children, and ten grandchildren. Heather's life was marked by her active participation in her children's and grandchildren's activities, and her home was a welcoming place for family gatherings. Despite being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease a decade ago, she maintained a positive attitude and continued to engage in activities like boxing. Her funeral mass is scheduled for April 18, 2026, at Saint Thomas More Church in Rochester.
