James River Kennel Club Hosts Major Dog Show with Diverse Breeds Competing
The James River Kennel Club recently held a significant dog show in Salem, Virginia, on July 23, 2026. The event featured a wide array of dog breeds competing for top honors across various categories. The show included entries from breeds such as Gordon Setters, Borzois, Beagles, Whippets, and Doberman Pinschers, among others. The Best In Show was awarded to a Gordon Setter named GCHP Tamarack Valley View River Of Dreams, handled by Stacy Threlfall. The event attracted a total of 676 entries, showcasing the diversity and competitive spirit of the canine participants. Judges evaluated the dogs based on breed standards and performance, with several handlers and owners receiving recognition for their dogs' achievements.
