Israel Aerospace Industries Unveils Diamond Naval Wingman Concept
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has introduced the Diamond concept, a new approach to naval warfare that integrates decentralized systems on 'wing-ships' with the sensors and command systems of a frigate 'mothership'. This concept allows for the installation of offensive or defensive systems on small wing-ships, which can then be integrated with the mothership's radar and fire control systems. The Diamond concept employs a 'plug-and-play' approach, enabling a variety of modular systems to be installed based on mission requirements. These systems can be used for air defense, precision strikes, electronic warfare, and anti-submarine warfare.
