BFC Partners and SAA Canopy Group Secure $269M Loan for Syracuse Housing Renovation
BFC Partners and SAA Canopy Group have secured a $269 million construction loan to renovate and expand the Parkside Commons housing complex in Syracuse, New York. The project aims to deliver 393 affordable apartments through a combination of renovations and new constructions, significantly improving living conditions and revitalizing the East Side of Syracuse. The financing package includes federal and state Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and a $116 million construction loan from the Urban Investment Group at Goldman Sachs. The project is set to begin in September, with renovations and new constructions expected to be completed by late 2028.
