BAE Systems, Boeing, Saab Formalize Red Hawk Bid to UK at Farnborough Airshow
At the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, BAE Systems, Boeing, and Saab formalized their bid to offer the T-7A Red Hawk advanced jet trainer to the UK. This partnership aims to provide a next-generation pilot training solution for the UK Royal Air Force (RAF). The agreement includes plans for a UK-based final assembly and integration facility, which would involve a UK supply chain throughout the lifecycle of the RAF T-7A program. The T-7A, developed for the US Air Force's T-X Advanced Pilot Training program, is designed to replace the aging Northrop T-38 Talon. It features modern fighter-like attributes, including a large-area display cockpit and advanced controls.
