Transgaz Advances Construction of Tetila–Horezu–Ramnicu Valcea Gas Pipeline
Transgaz, the Romanian natural gas transmission company, is progressing with the construction of the Tetila–Horezu–Ramnicu Valcea gas pipeline. This project, deemed of national importance, aims to connect the northeastern part of Gorj County and the northwestern part of Valcea County to the natural gas network. The pipeline, which spans 92.1 kilometers, is expected to supply gas to approximately 85,545 households and 323 public institutions across the two counties. The project is valued at RON 303 million, with a significant portion funded by a grant from the Environmental Fund. The pipeline will enhance the National Transmission System's balance and reduce supply disruption risks, while also potentially boosting local economic development through increased access to natural gas.
