Team Rubicon Expands Workforce Development Program to Address Skilled Labor Shortage
Team Rubicon has expanded its Workforce Development program to address the shortage of skilled trades professionals in the U.S., particularly in residential construction. The program, which began as a pilot in Orlando, offers free training in resilient construction techniques, industry-recognized certifications, and job placement assistance. It aims to prepare participants for high-demand careers while enhancing community resilience to disasters. The program has successfully graduated 50 participants and has expanded to New Orleans. Team Rubicon's initiative is part of a broader effort to support disaster recovery and build a skilled workforce capable of constructing safer, more resilient homes.
