New Maternal Hospital Opens in Cox's Bazar Refugee Camp
A new maternal hospital has opened in the Kutupalong refugee camp in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, providing essential healthcare services to Rohingya women. The facility, run by Save the Children, offers emergency obstetric care and routine maternal and newborn services. This development comes amid significant challenges, including reduced foreign aid, which has led to the closure of health centers and schools, and decreased food rations. The hospital aims to reduce maternal and child mortality by providing timely medical interventions, such as C-sections and ultrasounds, within the camp.
