State Department Expands Passport Services Amid High Demand
The U.S. State Department announced new passport acceptance fairs to be held across the country in May, offering extended hours and weekend access to accommodate high demand. These events aim to provide additional opportunities for applicants to submit paperwork outside normal business hours. The fairs will be hosted by various facilities, including post offices and community centers, in states such as Florida, New York, and California. The initiative targets first-time applicants, children, and those required to apply in person, with some locations also accepting renewal applications.
