Michigan Democrats Endorse Eli Savit for Attorney General in State Convention
Michigan Democrats have endorsed Washtenaw County Prosecutor Eli Savit in the race for the state's next attorney general. The endorsement was secured over Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald during the Michigan Democratic Party's state endorsement convention held in Detroit on April 19. Eli Savit, an Ann Arbor native, has a background in education and law, having graduated from Kalamazoo College and the University of Michigan's law school. He has also clerked for Supreme Court justices Sandra Day O'Connor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. This endorsement positions Savit as a key candidate in the upcoming election, highlighting his legal experience and educational background as significant factors in his candidacy.
