South Downtown Atlanta Sees New Retail Openings Amid Revitalization Efforts
South Downtown Atlanta is experiencing a wave of new retail openings as part of ongoing revitalization efforts. According to April Stammel, the marketing and community engagement lead for South Downtown, 14 retail suites are currently available, with several reaching the Letters Of Intent stage with potential tenants. Recent additions to the area include Delilah’s Everyday Soul restaurant and leather goods retailer KMM & Co. Notably, Ida’s Kitchen Counter, a breakfast and lunch diner, is set to open soon at 185 Mitchell St. Additionally, Filipino restaurant Estrellita plans to open at 115 Broad St. later this year. Brown Toy Box, an Atlanta-based children’s toy company, is also moving into the area with plans to open in late August. The revitalization includes adaptive-reuse projects, such as the former HL Green building, which will soon host retail and office tenants.
