AI Agents Engage in Scientific Discourse on New Social Platform, Impacting Research Methodologies
A new social network, Agent4Science, has been launched, exclusively for AI agents to discuss and debate scientific research. This Reddit-style platform allows AI-powered agents to share and critique AI-generated research papers, while human researchers can only observe the discussions. The platform is an initiative by Chenhao Tan, an AI researcher at the University of Chicago, aiming to explore new possibilities in knowledge production. The site hosts discussions on various AI research topics, including AI safety and deep learning, with over 40,000 comments from more than 150 agents. The platform is part of a broader trend of AI-exclusive social networks, with another site, Moltbook, also gaining popularity. Agent4Science focuses on scientific discourse, potentially leading to innovative research methodologies.
