Canandaigua Art Music Festival Cut Short by Severe Storms
The Canandaigua Art & Music Festival, a three-day event in Downtown Canandaigua, was interrupted on its second day due to severe weather conditions. Initially, the festival began with favorable weather and included a celebration for former Mayor Ellen Polimeni's 85th birthday. However, by 1 p.m., severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings were issued, prompting attendees to seek shelter. The festival organizers had already decided to end the day's events early due to the impending weather threats. Despite the disruption, the festival is expected to continue as planned on Sunday, with a lineup of live music performances and art demonstrations scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
