French Winemaker Sacrifices Cognac Label for Solar Panel Protection
A French winemaker, David Moreau, has installed 6,000 solar panels over his vineyard in Saint-André-de-Lidon to protect his grapes from extreme weather, sacrificing the official cognac label in the process. The solar canopy, costing four million euros, is designed to shield the grapes from heat and hail, with panels that adjust to balance sunlight and provide protection.
