U.S. Rep. Chuck Edwards Ends Reelection Bid Amid Ethics Violations Allegations

Edwards plans to serve out the remainder of his term. The 11th Congressional District's Republican executive committee is tasked with selecting a replacement candidate by August 20, 2026, to ensure the new candidate's name appears on the ballot. The committee will meet soon to decide on a nominee, with several potential candidates being considered. The Democratic challenger, Jamie Ager, has gained momentum, raising significant campaign funds and receiving backing from national Democratic groups.
