Teen Wrongly Accused of Sea Lion Attack Faces Online Harassment
Ryland Cuttitta, an 18-year-old from California, has been mistakenly identified as the individual responsible for a viral sea lion attack video. The video, which shows a man kicking a sea lion, sparked outrage and led to a federal investigation. Cuttitta claims that a sarcastic comment he made on Instagram was misinterpreted as a confession, resulting in online harassment and threats. His family has reported the threats to the San Diego Police Department and is cooperating with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in their investigation.
