China's Ministry of Justice Launches 'LexCom' Database to Bolster Overseas Legal Support for Enterprises and Citizens
China's Ministry of Justice has officially launched 'LexCom,' a public database designed to provide foreign-related legal resources for Chinese enterprises and citizens operating overseas. The platform, which began trial operations in July, aims to centralize legal information, professional service resources, and intelligent consultation tools. According to Zheng Wei, a ministry official responsible for foreign-related legal affairs, LexCom currently contains over 1,500 entries of legal resources covering 187 countries and more than 1,800 Chinese laws and regulations concerning foreign matters. The database offers Chinese translations of foreign laws, legal guides for various countries and regions, and typical cases involving foreign-related legal services. Users can also submit inquiries to receive AI-generated answers or responses from a team of legal professionals.
