A series of tornadoes and powerful winds swept through the Midwest, particularly affecting central Wisconsin and parts of Illinois. On Friday afternoon, a tornado struck the towns of Kronenwetter and Ringle in Wisconsin, causing significant damage to homes and leaving some residents temporarily trapped in their basements. Marathon County Sheriff Chad Billeb noted the extent of the devastation, which he described as unprecedented in his 34 years of service. In Illinois, the town of Lena also experienced major storm damage. Despite the destruction, no fatalities have been reported.
