Arizona Company Resolves Glendale Senior's Artificial Turf Issue After Initial Installation Failure
A Glendale, Arizona, senior named Diane experienced significant issues with artificial turf installed in her backyard earlier this year. Weeks after the installation, grass and weeds began to push through the turf, contrary to the expected maintenance-free nature of the product. Diane attempted to contact the original installation company for repairs but was unsuccessful in getting them to address the problem. Consequently, she reached out to the 'Let ABC15 Know' team for assistance. Following the broadcast of her story, Arizona Turf Professionals, a local business, volunteered to rectify the situation. Upon inspection, Paul Bourgeois, Project Manager with Arizona Turf Professionals, discovered that the original installation lacked weed fabric, which was the root cause of the weed growth. His team proceeded to remove the existing turf, apply weed killer, install proper weed fabric, and re-lay the turf with new sand, completing the backyard renovation in two days.
