Dethroned Miss North Carolina USA Files Defamation Lawsuit Against Pageant Officials
Brittany Boltinhouse, the dethroned Miss North Carolina USA, has filed a defamation lawsuit against pageant officials, including Miss USA CEO and President Thom Brodeur, JKN Universe LLC, and A Blaize Productions LLC. The lawsuit, filed in Duplin County Superior Court, alleges that the organizations "weaponized" social media and conspired to destroy her reputation. Boltinhouse was stripped of her title earlier this month after past social media posts resurfaced. While the lawsuit does not challenge the organizations' authority to revoke her crown, it claims they maliciously coordinated to publish a false public narrative portraying her as a racist, homophobe, transphobe, and bigot. The suit states that this coordinated effort led to devastating media coverage, linking Boltinhouse to widespread accusations.
