National Weather Service Issues Heavy Snow Warning for Northern Rockies, Poses Travel Hazards
A late-season winter storm is impacting the northern Rockies, bringing significant snowfall and cold temperatures. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter storm warning for parts of Montana and winter weather advisories for Wyoming. The storm is expected to bring up to 10 inches of snow in some areas, with gusty winds reducing visibility and making travel hazardous. The most severe conditions are anticipated in north-central Montana, where hazardous conditions could persist into the weekend. Additionally, freeze warnings are in effect across parts of the Northern Rockies and inland Northwest, with temperatures dropping into the teens and low 20s, posing risks to vegetation and outdoor plumbing.
