Colorado Rep. Pettersen Introduces Bipartisan Bills to Combat Wildfires
Colorado Representative Brittany Pettersen has introduced a package of six bipartisan bills aimed at improving wildfire management and response. The bills are a response to recent devastating wildfires in Colorado, such as the Aspen Acres and Willow fires, which burned over 100,000 acres and destroyed 300 homes. The proposed legislation seeks to enhance collaboration among federal agencies, protect firefighters, and provide timely disaster-mitigation resources to affected communities.
