This spending pattern has been described by Tyler Bowyer, a prominent GOP activist and Turning Point USA's chief operating officer, as akin to 'spending like a drunken sailor.' Bowyer argues that the heavy expenditure on consultants and media indicates a lack of organic support for Hobbs' campaign. The criticism comes as Hobbs prepares to face Republican nominee Andy Biggs in the general election, a race that is expected to be closely watched given Arizona's status as a battleground state.
