SWISS Flight Makes Emergency Landing Due to Smoke from Headphone Case
A Swiss International Airlines flight from Zurich to New York made an unscheduled landing in Bangor, Maine, after smoke was detected from a headphone case lodged in a seat. The incident occurred last Monday, prompting the crew to act swiftly and land the aircraft safely. Technical experts found that the charging case for headphones had been damaged, causing the smoke. All 208 passengers and crew were unharmed. SWISS reminded passengers of regulations regarding electronic devices with lithium batteries, emphasizing the prohibition of power banks on board.
