Iberville Parish Residents Oppose Entergy's Solar Farm Proposal
Residents of Iberville Parish in Plaquemine, Louisiana, are expressing concerns over a proposed solar farm by Entergy. The development, planned to be built off Highway 75, has raised issues among locals due to its proximity to homes, schools, and neighborhoods. Residents voiced their concerns during a community meeting at the Carl F. Grant Civic Center, questioning the necessity of using land in residential areas for the project. Entergy has yet to present the proposal to the parish council, and if approved, construction is expected to take about two years.
