Bank of England to Address Risks of Anthropic's AI Model with Financial Institutions
The Bank of England is set to discuss the implications of Anthropic PBC's new AI model, Mythos, with financial institutions. This comes as regulators in the UK and US express concerns over the cybersecurity risks posed by the model. The Mythos model, capable of identifying vulnerabilities in major operating systems and web browsers, will be a key topic at upcoming meetings of the BOE's Cross Market Operational Resilience Group and CMORG AI Taskforce. These discussions will include representatives from the Treasury, the Financial Conduct Authority, and the National Cyber Security Centre.
