Jill Biden Bids $35K for 'Heated Rivalry' Walk-On Role at NYC LGBTQ Benefit
Jill Biden, the former first lady, made a surprise appearance at the NYC LGBT Center’s annual fundraising gala, held at Cipriani Wall Street. During the event, she placed a $35,000 bid for a walk-on role in the upcoming season of the popular hockey romance TV show, 'Heated Rivalry.' Despite her bid, she was outbid by two other attendees who each donated $125,000, contributing to a total of $250,000 for the walk-on role. The gala, which is the signature event for the NYC-based organization, raised over $2 million in total. The funds are earmarked for various causes, including HIV prevention and testing, mental health and youth programming, and arts and cultural initiatives. The event featured notable attendees such as Jacob Tierney, the creator of 'Heated Rivalry,' and Rachel Reid, the author of the book series on which the show is based.
