Tyndall National Institute Plans Workforce Expansion to Boost Semiconductor Research
Tyndall National Institute in Ireland has unveiled a five-year strategic plan to expand its workforce by over 30%, increasing staff to more than 750 by 2030. The plan aims to enhance Ireland's position in the global semiconductor industry by boosting infrastructure, research programs, and talent development. Tyndall's strategy includes launching 10 new spinouts and scaling over 30 Irish SMEs. The initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen Ireland's semiconductor capabilities, with a focus on postgraduate and postdoctoral research and a Future Leaders Programme to cultivate the next generation of innovators.
