Luxury Car Theft in Manhattan Ends with McLaren Crash Near FedEx Center
In a recent incident in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen, a group of thieves attempted to steal multiple luxury vehicles from a high-rise apartment building garage. The New York Police Department (NYPD) reported that the thieves managed to break into the garage on West 43rd Street near 11th Avenue early on a Sunday morning. Although they attempted to steal four vehicles, they only succeeded in driving away with a blue McLaren. The theft was short-lived, as the driver lost control and crashed the McLaren just a block away at West 42nd and 11th, near a FedEx Ship Center. The crash resulted in the deployment of the car's airbags, and the vehicle was found next to a traffic signal. The owner of the McLaren, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed disbelief upon discovering his car had been involved in the incident. The NYPD has confirmed that all targeted vehicles have been recovered, and no injuries were reported. However, the suspects remain at large, and no detailed descriptions have been released.
