Nationwide Recall Issued for Levothyroxine Sodium Tablets Due to Subpotency
Major Rugby, a pharmaceutical manufacturer, has issued a nationwide recall for several batches of levothyroxine sodium tablets, a common medication used to treat hypothyroidism and other thyroid-related conditions. The recall affects 12 packages of the medication, which were found to be subpotent, meaning they deliver less medication than intended. Despite the recall, Major Rugby has stated that taking the affected tablets is not likely to cause adverse health effects. The recall includes various dosages and lot numbers, and consumers are advised to return the medication to the point of purchase and consult their healthcare providers if they have the recalled product.
