Moya: The Biomimetic Robot Redefining Human-Like Interaction
DroidUp, a robotics company based in Shanghai, has unveiled Moya, a biomimetic robot designed to mimic human movements and expressions with unprecedented accuracy. Standing at 1.65 meters and weighing 32 kilograms, Moya uses pneumatic artificial muscles to achieve fluid motion, avoiding the mechanical jerkiness typical of most robots. The robot's design includes maintaining a body temperature similar to humans and reproducing micro-expressions, making interactions more realistic. Moya's development aims to cross the 'uncanny valley,' where robots appear almost human but evoke discomfort.
