Consumer Product Safety Commission Issues Urgent Warnings on Hazardous Products
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued urgent safety warnings for several household products due to risks including fire, electrocution, drowning, amputations, entrapment, and death. These warnings, released in early April, target products sold online through major platforms like Amazon. Among the most serious concerns are Klasyt jet torch lighters, which violate child-resistance standards, and Rozato tabletop firepits, linked to one death and multiple burn injuries. Additionally, electric pressure washers from Vlaseo and SEN-QII lack critical safety features, posing electrocution risks. The CPSC also highlighted dangers associated with 'Relaxing Baby' swim floats, which led to a child's drowning, and Apromise grill tables, which have caused fingertip amputations. Consumers are urged to dispose of these products safely and avoid resale.
