Aberdeen High School Freshmen Showcase Career and Entrepreneurial Boards
Freshman seminar students at Aberdeen High School in Aberdeen, Mississippi, recently presented their Career and Entrepreneurial Boards. As part of a nine-week course, students created storyboards detailing various career paths and entrepreneurial ventures they aspire to pursue. The presentations included visual aids, career-themed neckties, and hats, along with product creations. Tammie Nichols, one of the freshman seminar teachers, explained that every freshman seminar class is required to host such an expo. The projects covered a wide range of fields, including engineering, law, medicine, and sports. Students were encouraged to research educational requirements and potential earnings for their chosen careers, fostering early career exploration and practical skill development.
