Minnesota Farmers Advocate for Regenerative Agriculture and Policy Reform
Kristin Duncanson and her family, operating Highland Family Farms in Blue Earth County, Minnesota, have been implementing regenerative agricultural practices for over 40 years. Their farm, which includes hog, corn, and soybean operations, utilizes methods such as cover cropping, minimizing tillage, and efficient nutrient management. Approximately a quarter of their acreage is certified organic, allowing them to sell crops at a premium. These practices have led to healthier soil, better water control, and reduced reliance on chemicals, weed prevention, tilling, fuel, and feed. The Duncansons are actively sharing their knowledge through field days and collaboration with the AGree Coalition.
