Rain soaks drought-hit South, sparks flood concerns
Another round of rain is set to drench drought-stricken areas across the southern U.S. through Tuesday, April 21, bringing much-needed relief but also raising flash flood concerns. Heavier downpours are expected across parts of southeastern Texas, including Houston, San Antonio and Austin. While rainfall will help ease dry conditions, localized flooding may occur, especially in low-lying and poorly drained areas before conditions improve later Tuesday.
