Australian Digital Health Agency Renews Accenture Contract for My Health Record Support
The Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) has renewed its contract with Accenture for infrastructure services supporting My Health Record, signing a new $161.6 million deal. This three-year contract runs from August 28, 2026, to August 27, 2029, with an option for extension until August 31, 2032. Accenture has been the 'national infrastructure operator' for My Health Record since 2012, with previous arrangements growing significantly in value. The new contract follows an open tender process initiated in July of the previous year, covering both the My Health Record system and the ADHA's API gateway infrastructure. ADHA Chief Technical Officer John Borchi stated that this engagement with Accenture would operate under a new model where the agency leads end-to-end service delivery, setting priorities, coordinating multiple suppliers, and retaining accountability for governance and decision-making.
