Airbus Launches Canadian Aerospace Tech Hub to Boost Innovation
Airbus has inaugurated the Airbus Tech Hub in Mirabel, Canada, as part of its global network of innovation centers. This new hub is designed to accelerate aerospace research and innovation by fostering collaboration with Canada's technology and academic sectors. The facility will focus on sustainable materials research, decarbonization technologies, and advanced manufacturing processes. It aims to support the A220 program and future aircraft development by leveraging Canada's strengths in artificial intelligence and quantum computing. The hub will collaborate with academic institutions like McGill University and the University of Waterloo, as well as innovation accelerators such as Centech. Supported by various organizations, including the Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy, the hub will also focus on developing future aerospace talent through dedicated PhD and Masters programs.
