AI's Role in Enhancing Access to Justice Explored in Legal Industry Report
A recent report from the legal industry has highlighted the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve access to justice. The 2026 Legal Industry Report surveyed 1,300 legal professionals, examining trends in AI adoption and its impact on the justice system. The report found that while technology has been suggested as a solution to bridge the gap between legal services and consumers, the benefits have often been limited to technology executives and investors. The survey revealed that 53% of respondents believe automating routine legal tasks could enhance access to justice, while 52% support expanding self-help legal tools. Additionally, 51% see the potential in increasing remote and virtual services. Despite some skepticism, 79% of respondents acknowledged that technology has improved access to justice over the past decade.
