Australian travelers have significantly contributed to Dubai's tourism boom, with 333,000 Australians visiting the city in 2025. This marks the third consecutive year of record-breaking growth for Dubai, which welcomed 19.59 million international overnight visitors in 2025, a 5% increase from the previous year. The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) reported that Dubai surpassed two million visitors in a single month for the first time, with 2.04 million international guests in December alone. Australians accounted for 83% of the 401,000 visitors from Australasia, highlighting Dubai's appeal to Australian leisure and business travelers. The city's diverse offerings, including world-class attractions, major retail festivals, and a burgeoning culinary scene, continue to attract visitors. Dubai's hotel occupancy remained strong at 80.7%, with new luxury openings further enhancing its appeal.
