Fairfield County Workforce Center Launches STEM Program to Inspire High School Students
The Fairfield County Workforce Center recently hosted the inaugural Level Up! STEM program in Carroll, aimed at introducing high school students to careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The free two-day event, held on July 27-28, targeted students entering grades 9 and 10, offering hands-on activities and career exploration opportunities. Participants engaged in sessions led by instructors from Hocking College, focusing on industrial technologies and professional skills. The program also included practical experience with drone technology, highlighting career paths in aerial photography, mapping, and emergency response. The initiative is part of the Workforce Center's broader effort to expand youth programming and connect students with high-demand industry careers.
