NASA Introduces Mike Lippert as New X-59 Test Pilot for Supersonic Flight Research
NASA has appointed Mike Lippert as a new test pilot for the X-59 aircraft, part of the agency's Quesst mission aimed at developing quiet supersonic flight technology. Lippert, a retired U.S. Marine Corps lieutenant colonel, joins the team at NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center in California. He will conduct test flights to monitor the X-59's performance and its impact on noise levels, contributing to the mission's goal of establishing new noise standards for supersonic commercial flights over land.
