TSS Cruiser CSOV Enhances Taiwan's Offshore Wind Farm Capabilities
Ta San Shang Marine (TSSM), a joint venture between Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and Taiwan’s Ta Tong Marine, has received a new commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV) named the TSS Cruiser. This vessel is set to support offshore wind farm operations in Taiwan, a region recognized for its active offshore wind market. Constructed by Damen Shipyards in Vietnam, the TSS Cruiser is the second service operation vessel for TSSM, following the TSS Pioneer delivered in 2022. The TSS Cruiser boasts expanded accommodation for up to 120 personnel, enhanced crane capabilities, and a methanol-ready design to meet future decarbonization needs. Mitsui O.S.K. Lines plans to expand its offshore wind operations in Taiwan and other Asian markets, aligning with its 'BLUE ACTION 2035' strategy focused on low- and zero-carbon initiatives.
