Charlie Gray's Legacy: Influential Role in Orlando's Development and Community Impact
Charlie Gray, a cofounder of the GrayRobinson law firm and a significant figure in Central Florida's development, has passed away at the age of 94. Gray played a pivotal role in bringing major attractions and institutions to Orlando, including Disney World, the University of Central Florida (UCF), and the Orlando Magic basketball team. His contributions extended beyond business, as he and his wife transformed their 210-acre DeBary cattle ranch into Gemini Springs Park, a public county park. Gray's influence was felt across various sectors, from law and politics to community development, making him a respected figure in the region. His efforts in consolidating fire districts and supporting infrastructure projects like the Orange County Convention Center and the State Road 408 East-West Expressway were instrumental in shaping the area's growth.
