Perplexity Launches Personal Computer for Mac Users, Enhancing Local AI Capabilities
Perplexity has launched its Personal Computer app for Mac users, allowing AI agents to access local files, applications, and the web to manage personal workflows. This expansion aims to provide a safer AI-enabled computing environment compared to cloud-only solutions. The app, initially available to Perplexity Max subscribers, is now accessible to all Mac users with a Pro or Max subscription. It integrates with local files and apps, offering functionalities like orchestrating tools and leveraging personal context within a secure environment.
