New York DEC Launches Free Sustainability Consultations for Small Businesses
The New York Department of Conservation (DEC) has introduced a new initiative aimed at helping small businesses reduce their environmental impact. The program, known as the Sustainable Business Navigator, offers free, one-hour consultations to businesses with fewer than 100 employees. During these sessions, DEC sustainability experts will assist businesses in identifying cost-effective strategies to minimize waste, enhance energy efficiency, and decrease operating costs. Additionally, the program will guide businesses in accessing potential funding sources and technical support. Consultations are available both virtually and in-person, and interested business owners can find more information on the DEC's website or by attending a webinar scheduled for May 20.
