A box truck overturned on Interstate 295 in South Portland, Maine, early Monday morning after the driver swerved to avoid three deer on the road. The incident occurred around 4 a.m. at mile marker 2. According to Maine State Police, the driver, a 40-year-old man from Rhode Island, overcorrected after swerving, hit the median guardrail, and overturned, blocking the southbound travel lanes. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the truck, which was transporting household goods, scattered its cargo across the roadway. Authorities have managed to open one lane but advised drivers to expect delays.
