Man Climbs Los Angeles Sixth Street Bridge, Disrupting Traffic
A man caused significant traffic disruption in Los Angeles by climbing the Sixth Street Bridge on a Friday morning. The individual, described as shirtless, was seen pacing on the bridge's arches, leading to the closure of the span from the 101 Freeway to Mateo Street. The Los Angeles Fire Department and police were on the scene, attempting to coax the man down. He was observed shaking a fire department ladder and lighting a small fire on the bridge. The incident began with reports of a potential jumper, prompting emergency services to respond. The man remained on the bridge for over three hours before descending and being taken into custody by the police.
