Rockville Man Charged with Negligent Manslaughter in Fatal March Car Crash
Daniel Danny Aguilar Medrano, a 24-year-old Rockville resident, has been charged with two counts of negligent manslaughter by vehicle following a fatal car crash in March that killed two passengers. The incident occurred on March 22 when Medrano was driving a 2025 BMW M8 eastbound on Norbeck Road at speeds between 119 and 126 mph, significantly exceeding the posted 40 mph speed limit. Police reported that Medrano lost control of the vehicle near East Gude Drive. The car crossed the center median, struck a curb and a pedestrian signal, overturned, and continued through the intersection, hitting another curb, pedestrian signal, and several trees before coming to rest in a drainage trench. The front-seat passenger, Abraham Huracaya Del Aguila, 24, of Silver Spring, and the rear-seat passenger, Alexander Medrano Cangalaya, 24, of Rockville, died at the scene.
