Bowling Green State University Nursing Student Benefits from Thompson Scholarship
Lindsay Roth, a nursing student at Bowling Green State University (BGSU), has expressed gratitude for the Thompson Working Families Scholarship Program, which has significantly eased her financial burden. Roth, who is preparing to enter her senior year, received the scholarship in 2024, which covers nearly all of her tuition and provides a support system. The scholarship program was expanded by Robert and Ellen Thompson, who contributed $121 million, making it one of the largest non-endowed scholarship programs in the nation. Roth's scholarship has allowed her to focus on her studies without the financial stress, and she has embraced the program's service component by volunteering at a BGSU Nursing Camp for high school students.
