Lawsuit Alleges Trump Administration Targets Vulnerable Immigrant Children for Deportation
A federal lawsuit has been filed against the Trump administration, alleging that it is targeting unaccompanied immigrant children for deportation as part of a broader 'deport at all costs' agenda. The lawsuit, filed by Jewish Family and Community Services of Pittsburgh and six immigrant clients, claims that children who qualify to remain in the U.S. legally are being repatriated to increase deportation numbers. The complaint highlights that immigration judges are allegedly instructed to expedite hearings, limiting the time available for children to process their immigration applications. The lawsuit names several government agencies, including the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security, as defendants.
